I know a few people who run desktop searches and they highly recommend them, MSN and Google are a couple of the most popular desktop-search tools.
To me, these just make users extremely lazy. I’ve read that some people dont even know where they are saving files to, they just rely on their desktop-search to find them after downloading. Are people so lazy that they can’t use Windows-Explorer anymore? Explorer does a fine job when I search for files. Same with most email clients, I use the ‘advanced find’ option in Outlook to search not only in the email subject but the body as well.
Anyone else? ( i will only accept one ‘use linux’ comment)

I came across this interesting quote..
President Dwight Eisenhower, Republican, uttered these words on November 8, 1954:
Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid.

“The lack of a definitive answer despite repeated requests suggests that the United States is not willing to cooperate with the United Nations human rights machinery on this issue,” they said in a statement which pointedly declared that no state was above international human rights law.
