Married!

Sumeet and I we’re married on Saturday June 24/06!

We had an excellent morning ceremony at the Sikh temple followed by an awesome reception in the evening. It was a big wedding with around 350+ people at the ceremony and 450+ people at the reception.

Thanks to everyone who made it out, we really appreciated everyones warm wishes and gifts!

It was a busy few days prior to the wedding and definitely don’t recommend travelling within the weeks of your wedding like I did.

Sumeet and I each had a pre-wedding ceremony at Sumeet parents, it was a lot of fun and a very cool experience. We have a lot of pictures posted, check’em out. Those are all pictures our family members took, we have the professional pictures but Sumeet and I are still going through all of them (over 1000 pics) and deciding which ones we want. We also had a professional video guy as well, he’s making a DVD which we are anxiously waiting for 🙂

Our honeymoon was short and sweet. We spent 2 nights in Kelowna at the Lake Okanagan Resort which is on the quiet side of the lake. We rented a Sea-Ray powerboat for a couple hours one day and we enjoyed it so much we ended up renting the next day for 4 hours. It was great being on the lake with such a nice boat, swimming in such a warm lake, drinking beer and smoking a nice Cuban cigar. We took a few pictures, but we forgot to get a good picture of the actual boat 😉 We rented the same boat for a long weekend in August, looking very forward to it!

Stagged!

Well it’s been a long time since I wrote anything so I’m gonna catch-up by posting by event…

Jason and I were in Cuba from May 18th – May 25th for my stag. Upon arrival, our first destination was the Partagas Cigar store. Jason bought a box of Vegas Robaina Famoso’s, a nice way to start the stag. Unfortunately, I got very sick within a few hours of arriving, spent a good time in front of the toilet. Luckily it only lasted about 3 of the 5 nights so I was still able to do a lof things. We did the daily stuff like walk the malecon, walk around downtown, hit the partagas store, hit the east havana beaches. Our casa was really nice but farther south from the Malecon, so we did a lot of walking everyday. The Cuban world series was going on during our visit but the game was rained-out, otherwise we would have went. It was the Havana Industriales VS Santiago de Cuba, Industriales ended up winning. Jason purchased some Industriales gear. We had some cigars in the Partagas VIP room, we were actually invited back for the annual gala dinner/party week next April, hopefully I’ll be there. All in all it was a great trip!
